McCoy travels from Mississippi again this week for another shot at Shootout

(Kirkville, Miss.) – Houston McCoy will enter Round 4 of the 2009 Summer Shootout at Lowe’s Motor Speedway this week as a driver trying to gain experience and find his way in the tough legends car division. A rookie in the Legends Car Semi-Pro class this season after a championship dirt karting career, McCoy will run in his third Shootout event this Monday and Tuesday at the Concord, N.C., quarter-mile oval. He’ll be in the market for his second top-five semi-pro finish after a couple solid showings to open the series.

So far, McCoy’s rookie legends car season has seen the Mississippi racer face a steep learning curve, and he’s been solid while running in the country’s most competitive pavement legends car series.
